We have been growing Koi and Tilapia in Aquaponic systems with plants for 10+ years now. Vegetables grown in the fish water will have all the trace minerals necessary for optimum cellular function in the human body... if they are present in the fish food. It is very important to use a non-GMO fish food to make sure the plants will not be contaminated with glyphosate and and other pollutants present in GMO foods.
The Metallic Doitsu Koi variety is rare and unusually gorgeous, with a characteristic double row of scales down the back... giving it an ominous skeletal appearance. The main body of the Doitsu has no scales, so the colors are very rich compared to a scaled Koi. Our specialty is the Butterfly Koi, which is such a graceful specimen..almost angelic ... but just as hardy as the standard Koi.
